IH-type pavement removal method
Electromagnetic induction heating system for the removal of asphalt pavement from steel deck slabs.
The "IH Method for Pavement Removal [IHIR(TM) Method]" is a technique that uses electromagnetic induction heating technology (IH technology) to heat the interface between the steel deck of a bridge and the asphalt pavement, thereby loosening the adhesion and facilitating the peeling and removal of the pavement surface. When a strong high-frequency current flows through a coil, a powerful magnetic field is generated. When a metal that conducts electricity well, such as iron or stainless steel, is placed within that magnetic field, eddy currents are generated through electromagnetic induction, causing the metal itself to heat up due to electrical resistance. By utilizing this mechanism to heat the steel deck, the underside of the asphalt pavement is softened. 【Features】 ■ Facilitates the peeling and removal of the steel deck and asphalt pavement ■ Reduces noise, vibration, and dust generated during work, minimizing the impact on the surrounding environment ■ Minimizes damage to the steel deck, preserving the quality of the steel deck and bridge ■ Reduces the need for chipping work, promoting labor savings and improving safety during construction *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
